WHY EAT GARNISH?

Our goal is to embed food sustainability into peoples’ everyday lives by promoting healthier lifestyle choices in the form of plant-rich foods in a convenient and ready-to-eat format. Whether you lead a vegan lifestyle, have allergies or intolerances, or follow a specific diet, we focus on creating products that are inclusive, nutrient-rich, and made entirely from whole, organic ingredients. Garnish makes incorporating more plants into your diet simple and delicious, helping transition the world towards a more sustainable tomorrow.

WHY DO YOU USE PLASTIC CONTAINERS?

 As a company, we believe it is our obligation to continually reevaluate our impact on the environment from ingredient procurement to our production to the materials we use for our products. We chose our current container because we believe it is the best option for both our customers and the planet, at this time.


Our containers are made from PET plastic, which is 100% recyclable, and the most widely recycled plastic in the world. PET plastic is accepted in almost all curbside recycling programs. You can also deposit PET plastic bottles at container deposit depots, click HERE to view your local recycling options. Please rinse and recycle or reuse your containers! 


The alternative to plastic is glass, which is also a great recyclable option. However, glass is roughly 7 times heavier than plastic at the same volume, meaning it results in greater carbon emissions during transportation, as well as uses more natural resources during production as compared to PET plastic.

HOW DO I PROPERLY RECYCLE MY PACKAGING?

To properly dispose of your packing that contains Overnight Oats follow these steps:
1. Box: Remove all contents from box; collapse, flatten, and recycle
2. Ice Packs: Cut open the ice packs and pour contents down the drain and flush with water. Recycle the empty casing. Or alternatively reuse the ice packs!
3. Insulation: Cut the film lining, pull out the foam panels. Recycle the lining. Next, dispose of the foam panels by dissolving in water, burning them, composting them, or planting them! Click HERE for more information on Green Cell Foam.

DO THE OVERNIGHT OATS NEED TO BE REFRIGERATED?

Yes.

HOW LONG DO THE OVERNIGHT OATS STAY GOOD FOR?

Garnish Overnight Oats are made to order and shipped directly to you overnight! They should be stored in a refrigerator and consumed within one-week. There will always be an expiration date stamped on each bowl.


If you can’t finish an entire oat bowl in one sitting, that’s OK! – save it for later. Just screw back on the lid and place it back into the refrigerator. Once opened, we recommend consuming within three days. 

WHY DO OTHER BRANDS OF OVERNIGHT OATS HAVE A LONGER SHELF-LIFE?

We recognize there are other ‘ready-to-eat’ overnight oat products available on the market that have a shelf-life anywhere from 30-days to 75-days. These products are made to sit on shelves, are bulk produced, and use a variety of preservatives, stabilizers, and/or emulsifiers to increase shelf-life.


Garnish Overnight Oats are made-to-order because they are meant to be eaten fresh. We use fresh, organic ingredients in our oat bowls, including fresh fruit, and never use preservatives, stabilizers, or emulsifiers. We take pride in providing our customers with clean label products!

CAN I FREEZE MY OVERNIGHT OATS?

Yes, you can! We personally do not recommend freezing them as they are much better fresh. With that said if you want them to last a little longer, freezing is a good way to go!

CAN I HEAT MY OVERNIGHT OATS?

Yes, you can! Overnight oats are traditionally eaten cold, but if you want hot oats we just ask that you remove all food contents from the plastic container into a microwave-safe bowl, or a pot if heating on a stove top.

DO GARNISH OVERNIGHT OATS SHIP TO MY AREA?

DO I NEED TO BE HOME FOR THE DELIVERY OF MY OVERNIGHT OATS?

No; however, to ensure the product retains peak freshness, we recommend storing your oats in a refrigerator as soon as possible upon delivery. 


Our delivery boxes are insulated and include ice packs to keep your food at safe temperatures throughout delivery. Depending on your geographic location and time of year, it is normal if the ice packs are no longer frozen upon delivery but the product itself should still be cold. WHEN WILL MY OVERNIGHT OATS SHIP?

At this time, all orders will ship on Mondays with an expected arrival on Tuesdays.


Orders placed after Friday 11:59 PM EST cutoff will ship the following week.


*Our delivery partners do their best to get your food to you on time so you can enjoy it at its freshest. However, weather and traffic delays are inevitable and outside of their control; therefore, we cannot guarantee delivery.

 

In instances of inclement weather, we reserve the right to cancel our deliveries in order to avoid putting our delivery teams at risk. In such a case, we will notify you as early as possible and your order will be automatically rescheduled for a future date. If this does not suit your schedule, please let us know and we will do our best to find a better arrangement.

 

As both traffic and weather are outside of Garnish's control, cash refunds will not be issued for affected Orders.

HOW DOES THE SUBSCRIPTION WORK?

When you subscribe to weekly deliveries of Garnish Overnight Oats you will receive 10% off every week. You will receive a weekly email through which you can change your flavors, pause on subscription, skip a week, or cancel your subscription.
